JSC “SPA “ERKON” is located in Nizhny Novgorod, which is 400 km east from Moscow. The enterprise was founded in 1950 and its name was Gorky plant “Orbita”.
The plant “Orbita” was the largest enterprise of electronic industry producing resistors in the USSR. The plant manufactured well-known resistors of the series MLT (МЛТ), C2-33H, C2-29B. The equipment for their manufacture was also designed and produced on the plant.
According to the existing traditions, the factory manufactures resistors based on the thin-film technology, such as mass production resistors C2-33H, precision and super precision resistors C2-29B, C2-29C, high value resistors, high voltage resistors, high frequency resistors and chip resistors.
In 2002 the enterprise started to produce resistors with the international standard - size C2-33H АИ and C2-29B АИ. The above mentioned resistors are manufactured on the modern Japanese processing lines and meet Russian and International requirements on parameters and quality. The output in the recent years constantly increases. It is substantially contributed by exploring new directions of enterprise development, investing to the modern high-efficiency foreign and home equipment. The production range is updating, new products, including chip resistors, are mastering.
Among the newest and prospective products it is worthwhile noting the following products:
- thin – film resistors P1-8M, P1-8MП, according to the international standard size;
- precision chip resistors P1-16 and P1-16П, with stability more than 2000 hours within an accuracy class;
- power microwave resistors P1-9, P1-17;
- super precision resistors C2-29C, P1-37 with an accuracy class ±0,01; ±0,02; ±0,05;
- precision resistors with increased dissipation power C2-29M;
- high value resistors and high voltage resistors C2-33HB, P1-32 and P1-43;
- accelerating resistors P1-26;
- chip inductor, elements on SAW

The enterprise has an advanced galvanic base for wire coating and able to fulfill large orders. The key position in this production is coverage of the copper wire with tin-lead solder on the Japanese line “Hitachi”, as well as coverage of the copper wire with nickel.
JSC “SPA “ERKON” works on Russian and CIS market, has an access to the market of Western and Eastern Europe. In order to production development and implementation of best practices, the enterprise cooperates with the related profile companies from Taiwan and Singapore.
